The Team

Alen Cooper

Member

Alen Cooper is the Head of Operations for JAC Construction. He oversees daily operations for the company including customer relations, overseeing estimates and budgeting and heading up project management. He has a gift for analyzing, troubleshooting, and heading off issues and delays before they occur. He is an excellent communicator and professional who gives JAC’s customers and vendors attention and respect that they deserve.

Alen hails from England where he received his degree in engineering. He began his career in construction when he came to America nineteen years ago. He has a love for construction and bringing projects in on time and within budget. He believes in keeping his commitments and delivering an excellent product to JAC’s clients.

Alen has been a car enthusiast since he was a boy. He spent many years restoring classic cars including AC Cobra’s and he is a master mechanic. He continues his love for driving sports cars today. He enjoys the gym and spending time with his wife and three kids at their ranch in Temecula.

Bret Morrison

Member

Bret Morrison is the Head of Construction for JAC Construction. Bret has been working in the construction industry since 1986 and has been a general contractor since 1990. Bret has an impeccable reputation for excellence in his field. Bret began in residential construction with his father’s construction company. When he began his own construction company, he branched out into commercial construction including hotel renovations.

Bret graduated from Westmont University in Santa Barbara with a degree in business economics. While there, he ran his parents company from his dorm room. Bret has a mind for math and business and an eye for detailed construction from catching errors before they occur to coming in and resolving past construction issues. He is a problem solver at heart. Integrity and keeping his word are key values to his business ethic.

Bret is a father of three and a grandpa to one, so far.  He has been an avid golfer for most of his life and has played most golf courses in southern California.

Carl Osenesek

Carpenter

Carl is originally from Michigan and settled in California 25 years ago. He has been building things since he was a kid. He followed his passion and talents by studying fine arts and design at Brookhaven College in Dallas and the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. Carl brings his creativity and skill to JAC’s millwork division.

Carl has one daughter. He spends his weekends doing home renovations, restoring things, and conceiving and designing his next project. He loves to explore California.

Carrie MacElwee Cooper

Member

Carrie MacElwee Cooper is responsible for recruiting dynamic individuals who make up the team at JAC and oversees human resources. She is the glue that keeps everything running behind the scenes.

Carrie is a graduate of San Diego State University. She has a passion for construction and has worked in the industry as a licensed contractor for over 20 years.

Carrie is from southern California and has lived in Temecula for 22 years where she resides with her husband and three kids. Outside of work you will find her riding horses and training at the gym. 

Chase Blood

Superintendent

Chase is originally from southern New Mexico. He is a tile mason by trade and has worked in the construction industry for over 15 years. Chase has held several positions within JAC Construction and eventually worked his way up to his current position as a superintendent.

He is married with two young children. In his spare time Chase enjoys the outdoors, including hunting, shooting and fishing.

Craig Martineau

Superintendent

Craig Martineau joined the JAC team in June 2017. He is a site superintendent with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. With a beginning in residential flooring and residential & commercial plumbing, he now has over 8 years of Superintendent experience in banking, retail and hospitality construction.  Craig is always striving to provide a product above and beyond expectations with excellent communications and client relations.

In his off time, Craig enjoys playing competitive golf and pool. He also enjoys astronomy and astrophotography.

Dale Johnson

Superintendent

Dale was born in Kansas and then lived in Colorado before moving to California in 1980. He started a construction framing business and got his contractor’s license in 1991. Dale is a valuable asset to JAC. He has been responsible for coming up with creative solutions on some of our most challenging jobs. Dale is innovative and has an incredible eye for detail. He runs a tight ship that shows in the finished product.

Dale lives in the high desert with his family. They recently welcomed his grandson, Dale Jr., to the family. For fun, he likes to ride off highway vehicles.

Dustin Archer

Accounting Manager

Dustin Archer is the Accounting Manager for JAC Construction. His commitment to excellence is shown in his ability to meet all business and client needs, all while keeping integrity and trustworthiness at the forefront of his operations.

Dustin graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and completed his MBA degree at the University of Redlands. He  previously worked for a solar company as an accounting and operations manager.

Dustin’s constant drive and commitment to success, combined with his exceptional organizational and leadership skills has put him ahead of the curve in the construction industry. His urgency, and clear communication style is what assures clients and project managers that everything will be handled in a professional and timely manner.

In his free time, Dustin  jet-sets off to  explore new cities. He loves traveling and visiting friends all around the world that he met during his time in college and living abroad. An entrepreneur at heart, he owns and operates his own property management company and continues to work on building that business.

Eric Zuniga Sr.

Project Engineer & Safety Officer

Eric Zuniga Sr. Joined JAC Construction April of 2016 as an Assistant Superintendent. In November 2016 Eric became the assistant to JAC’S Construction Manager. Eric was soon promoted to Project Engineer in February of 2017. Eric is also the Safety Coordinator for JAC.

Eric has been in the construction industry for nearly 40 years. He has worked in  residential construction and industrial pipeline for natural gas. His experience through various venues of construction led him to become a General Contractor and receive certifications as a Residential Building Inspector and Structural Masonry Special Inspector through the International Code Council (ICC).

Along with his work ethic, Eric is detailed oriented and seeks potential setbacks before they can occur.

Eric is a father of four children and grandfather of ten. In his off time Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. You can also find him traveling to Mexico, occasionally assisting in the mission field with his church.

Gary Alvarez

Superintendent

Gary is a native of Southern California who worked in the new home building industry for 25 years before joining JAC in the hospitality industry renovating hotels.

Gary is an on-site project superintendent responsible for delivering a clean, quality product to ownership in excellence, and on schedule.

When Gary isn’t working, he enjoys spending my time with his two beautiful daughters.  He also enjoys fishing and racing dirt bikes.

James Spitzig

Member

Jim is the Principal and Head of Business Development for JAC Construction. His consistent vision and commitment to client’s goals and business integrity has been integral in the firm’s upward growth.

Since the company’s inception, Jim has cultivated key relationships and maintained the firm’s strong reputation with national brands like Marriott Hotels, Hilton Hotels and InterContinental Hotels. These relationships have enabled JAC to build a variety of hotels from three and four-star hotels to boutique and luxury properties.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in both Engineering and Business from Purdue University. He is the proud father to his son, Grayson.

Jayme Crist

Project Administrator

Jayme is JAC’s first employee. She brought her valuable knowledge of construction and project management, and  is the go to woman for everyone in the company. She understands the flow of projects from inception to completion and keeps vendors, peers and employers on track along the way while creating team with everyone.

Jayme is committed to ensuring that all of the clients’ objectives are met throughout the construction process. She has been in the industry for the last 1 years and has a wide range of experience from new schools, to marine barracks, new hotels and hotel remodels.

On her off time, she is a wife and mom. She is a fitness and gym addict and loves the river.

John MacElwee

General Laborer

John is the newest addition to the JAC team.  He has worked under to of JAC’s superintendents on commercial and residential projects. He is excited to learn about the construction industry.

In his spare time, John likes to play the guitar and go rock climbing.

Jose Cardenas

General Labor

Tony has been in construction for 14 years. His expertise is in drywall and taping, but his knowledge in many areas keeps him busy on all aspects of JAC’s projects.

Tony is passionate about cars and he is currently restoring a 72 truck. He loves the classics.

Kenneth Crow

Construction Manager

Kenneth Crow joined JAC Construction in November 2015 as a Project Superintendent, and was promoted to Construction Manager a year later. With an industry career that spans several decades, and covers his early days as a carpenter apprentice to President of a successful construction company, Ken brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the team. Ken’s hands-on, no-nonsense management approach, augmented by his familiarity with every aspect of the industry; a keen sense of what is required at every phase; and ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems, affords him the confidence and expertise to oversee the construction side of ongoing projects, and work with the Project Managers/Superintendents to deliver the best product possible. Ken’s integrity and expertise has made him a valuable member of the JAC team.

Certified in advanced tactical weapons training, and a former golf professional in the PGA program, in his downtime, Ken might be found on the shooting range or driving range.

Marvin Morales

General Laborer

Marvin Morales has been working in the construction industry for over thirteen years. His extensive commercial and residential construction experience qualifies him as a specialist in drywall taping and texturing. Marvin enjoys challenging projects and learning new concepts.He believes in building strong, respectful relationships and approaches all of his projects with a friendly and positive attitude.  By following these principles, Marvin has been able to gain and maintain great working relationships with managers, clients and co-workers.

During his time off, Marvin enjoys spending time with his family, and enjoys being outdoors.

Megan O’Brien

Office Manager

Megan O’Brien has more than 12 years of office experience working for general contractors.  With her extensive knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, contract negotiation and administration,she adapts quickly to the most diverse tasks, which makes her a valuable member of the JAC Team.  As the office manager, she is responsible for implementing office procedures and organization. She is responsible for the construction draws and ensuring subcontractors are billing according to their contracts and in compliance with the required documentation. 

When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, going to the river and the gym.  

Raul Butanda

General Labor

Raul has been in the construction industry for 25 years. He has extensive experience in drywall and texturing. His attention to detail is a valuable asset to JAC. Raul keeps JAC’s jobs highly organized and clean. He brings his great attitude to work every day.

Raul loves to work on cars and is currently restoring a ‘91 Dodge Ram. He loves spending time with his family.

Todd Mulville

General Laborer

Todd is an integral part of the JAC team and plays a heavy role in supporting the superintendents. His expansive experience as a handyman and electrician for over 30 years makes him an expert in drywall, rough framing, tile and electrical. Before joining JAC, he worked for an electronics company and was named technician of the year for 4 years in a row.

Todd grew up in Oxnard with his 3 brothers and his father is an Oxnard Police Officer. Todd is a proud father to one son and two daughters and enjoys watching them play sports.  Todd at one time was a semi-professional bowler, who is also into basketball, football and baseball.

Tracy Thomas

Tracy Thomas

Project Manager

Tracy Thomas is a southern California native with over 25 years of construction industry experience. Tracy has managed a wide variety of building projects and is considered an expert in O&M, design planning, purchasing, bonding specifications, construction costs/methods, and contract preparation/negotiation. Tracy’s work experience has made her highly proficient at managing the permit and agency approval process, as well as working with environmental regulations and/or agencies. It is also important to note that Tracy is a credentialed LEED AP and has worked on dozens of LEED certified buildings throughout her career.

In her spare time, Tracy enjoys hiking the extensive trails in the Coachella Valley, bicycling, and she regularly practices Bikram yoga.

Tristina Hayes

Operations Administrator

Tristina Hayes is the Operations Administrator for JAC Construction. Originally from New York; Tristina grew up in San Diego, CA and has been living in Temecula for the past few years. She received her associates degree from Grossmont College in San Diego and her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Tristina has worked in Real Estate for the past 10 years as an REO asset manager before making a career change to join JAC Construction. Her leadership and organizational skills are a true asset to our team.

In her spare time you can usually find Tristina at the gym, the beach or enjoying one of the local wineries.

William Meister

Superintendent

William Meister began his career in the construction industry in 1975 working for his father-in-law, who was a highly sought-after custom home builder in the Corona area. This is where Bill learned how to build a home from the ground up. His father-in-law also instilled a love and passion for construction and encouraged him to be the best he could possibly be, which has ultimately been the foundation for his success. Bill is experienced in custom home building, tract home construction and planning, and acting as a superintendent of many public works projects.

Bill is a family man! In his “spare” time, he loves to spend time with his family and grandkids who happen to live right next door to him. He also loves fishing and frequently visits his cabin in Big Bear Lake where he can take his grandkids down to the lake to fish.
