The Team

Alen Cooper

Member

Alen Cooper is the Head of Operations for JAC Construction. He oversees daily operations for the company including customer relations, overseeing estimates and budgeting and heading up project management. He has a gift for analyzing, troubleshooting, and heading off issues and delays before they occur. He is an excellent communicator and professional who gives JAC’s customers and vendors attention and respect that they deserve.

Alen hails from England where he received his degree in engineering. He began his career in construction when he came to America nineteen years ago. He has a love for construction and bringing projects in on time and within budget. He believes in keeping his commitments and delivering an excellent product to JAC’s clients.

Alen has been a car enthusiast since he was a boy. He spent many years restoring classic cars including AC Cobra’s and he is a master mechanic. He continues his love for driving sports cars today. He enjoys the gym and spending time with his wife and three kids at their ranch in Temecula.

April Robinson

Project Administrator

April Robinson is the Project Administrator for JAC bringing her 2o plus years of construction industry knowledge to JAC. She has worked in a variety of trades such as interior finish, countertops, laminates, grading, landscape maintenance, and masonry.  April also has extensive knowledge and experience  in all aspects of construction accounting and project administration. Organized and thorough, April thrives on supporting her team while meeting deadlines and completing tasks.  

In her time away from work she enjoys being with her 3 kids, and her 2 french bulldogs. As a Southern California native, April also enjoys the beach, river, and  day trips to local wineries with her friends.

Brandon Bentson

Special Projects Coordinator

Brandon Bentson is the Special Projects Coordinator at JAC Construction. Brandon helps JAC with sales support, bidding, estimating, marketing and health and safety. He joined the team in July of 2019 and is transitioning into the construction world after spending the beginning of his career working in the sporting industry. His leadership, communication, and organization skills make him a great fit for the position in helping JAC Construction continue great safety for their employees and clients.

Brandon graduated from Cal State San Marcos in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media Communications. During his time at CSUSM, he was a four-year letter winner for the baseball team and was named Male Student-Athlete of the Year for both the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years. Brandon completed his Master of Arts Degree in Sports and Athletic Administration From Gonzaga University in May of 2019.

Brandon was born in raised in San Diego and has recently moved to Temecula where he resides with his fiancee. Brandon enjoys sports and writing about them on his sports blog, along with training at the gym, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Bret Morrison

Construction Consultant

Bret Morrison is the Head of Construction for JAC Construction. Bret has been working in the construction industry since 1986 and has been a general contractor since 1990. Bret has an impeccable reputation for excellence in his field. Bret began in residential construction with his father’s construction company. When he began his own construction company, he branched out into commercial construction including hotel renovations.

Bret graduated from Westmont University in Santa Barbara with a degree in business economics. While there, he ran his parents company from his dorm room. Bret has a mind for math and business and an eye for detailed construction from catching errors before they occur to coming in and resolving past construction issues. He is a problem solver at heart. Integrity and keeping his word are key values to his business ethic.

Bret is a father of three and a grandpa to one, so far.  He has been an avid golfer for most of his life and has played most golf courses in southern California.

Carrie MacElwee Cooper

Member

Carrie MacElwee Cooper is responsible for recruiting dynamic individuals who make up the team at JAC and oversees human resources. She is the glue that keeps everything running behind the scenes.

Carrie is a graduate of San Diego State University. She has a passion for construction and has worked in the industry as a licensed contractor for over 20 years.

Carrie is from southern California and has lived in Temecula for 22 years where she resides with her husband and three kids. Outside of work you will find her riding horses and training at the gym. 

Craig Martineau

Superintendent

Craig Martineau joined the JAC team in June 2017. He is a site superintendent with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. With a beginning in residential flooring and residential & commercial plumbing, he now has over 8 years of Superintendent experience in banking, retail and hospitality construction.  Craig is always striving to provide a product above and beyond expectations with excellent communications and client relations.

In his off time, Craig enjoys playing competitive golf and pool. He also enjoys astronomy and astrophotography.

Eric Zuniga Sr.

Project Lead /Safety Coordinator

Eric Zuniga Sr. Joined JAC Construction April of 2016 as an Assistant Superintendent. In November 2016 Eric became the assistant to JAC’S Construction Manager. Eric was soon promoted to Project Engineer in February of 2017. Eric is also the Safety Coordinator for JAC.

Eric has been in the construction industry for nearly 40 years. He has worked in  residential construction and industrial pipeline for natural gas. His experience through various venues of construction led him to become a General Contractor and receive certifications as a Residential Building Inspector and Structural Masonry Special Inspector through the International Code Council (ICC).

Along with his work ethic, Eric is detailed oriented and seeks potential setbacks before they can occur.

Eric is a father of four children and grandfather of ten. In his off time Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. You can also find him traveling to Mexico, occasionally assisting in the mission field with his church.

Gary Alvarez

Superintendent

Gary is a native of Southern California who worked in the new home building industry for 25 years before joining JAC in the hospitality industry renovating hotels.

Gary is an on-site project superintendent responsible for delivering a clean, quality product to ownership in excellence, and on schedule.

When Gary isn’t working, he enjoys spending my time with his two beautiful daughters.  He also enjoys fishing and racing dirt bikes.

James Spitzig

Member

Jim is the Principal and Head of Business Development for JAC Construction. His consistent vision and commitment to client’s goals and business integrity has been integral in the firm’s upward growth.

Since the company’s inception, Jim has cultivated key relationships and maintained the firm’s strong reputation with national brands like Marriott Hotels, Hilton Hotels and InterContinental Hotels. These relationships have enabled JAC to build a variety of hotels from three and four-star hotels to boutique and luxury properties.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in both Engineering and Business from Purdue University. He is the proud father to his son, Grayson.

Jose Cardenas

General Labor

Tony has been in construction for 14 years. His expertise is in drywall and taping, but his knowledge in many areas keeps him busy on all aspects of JAC’s projects.

Tony is passionate about cars and he is currently restoring a 72 truck. He loves the classics.

Kenneth Crow

Construction Manager

Kenneth Crow joined JAC Construction in November 2015 as a Project Superintendent, and was promoted to Construction Manager a year later. With an industry career that spans several decades, and covers his early days as a carpenter apprentice to President of a successful construction company, Ken brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the team. Ken’s hands-on, no-nonsense management approach, augmented by his familiarity with every aspect of the industry; a keen sense of what is required at every phase; and ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems, affords him the confidence and expertise to oversee the construction side of ongoing projects, and work with the Project Managers/Superintendents to deliver the best product possible. Ken’s integrity and expertise has made him a valuable member of the JAC team.

Certified in advanced tactical weapons training, and a former golf professional in the PGA program, in his downtime, Ken might be found on the shooting range or driving range.

Marvin Morales

General Laborer

Marvin Morales has been working in the construction industry for over thirteen years. His extensive commercial and residential construction experience qualifies him as a specialist in drywall taping and texturing. Marvin enjoys challenging projects and learning new concepts.He believes in building strong, respectful relationships and approaches all of his projects with a friendly and positive attitude.  By following these principles, Marvin has been able to gain and maintain great working relationships with managers, clients and co-workers.

During his time off, Marvin enjoys spending time with his family, and enjoys being outdoors.

Raul Butanda

General Labor

Raul has been in the construction industry for 25 years. He has extensive experience in drywall and texturing. His attention to detail is a valuable asset to JAC. Raul keeps JAC’s jobs highly organized and clean. He brings his great attitude to work every day.

Raul loves to work on cars and is currently restoring a ‘91 Dodge Ram. He loves spending time with his family.

William Meister

Superintendent

William Meister began his career in the construction industry in 1975 working for his father-in-law, who was a highly sought-after custom home builder in the Corona area. This is where Bill learned how to build a home from the ground up. His father-in-law also instilled a love and passion for construction and encouraged him to be the best he could possibly be, which has ultimately been the foundation for his success. Bill is experienced in custom home building, tract home construction and planning, and acting as a superintendent of many public works projects.

Bill is a family man! In his “spare” time, he loves to spend time with his family and grandkids who happen to live right next door to him. He also loves fishing and frequently visits his cabin in Big Bear Lake where he can take his grandkids down to the lake to fish.
